Guayama Whitewashes Toa Alta, Reyes Winner Thursday, August 16th , 1888 Dacio Reyes shut out the Toa Alta Poetas 5-0 on a 3-hit masterpiece for the Guayama Brujos at Parque de los Poetas today. "He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Guayama skipper Rodrigo Sánchez said afterward. Reyes registered 3 strikeouts and issued no walks in pitching a gem. "We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Toa Alta manager Édgar Rivera after the defeat. This year Reyes has a 15-16 record with a 2.45 ERA.
