Carolina's Boyce to Retire Sunday, May 21st , 1905 Theo Boyce said he's incredibly grateful for getting a chance to play with the Carolina Tumbabrazos organization, but this season will be his last. "I'm extremely loyal to the team, but that's why I have to walk away. I think there's probably someone younger and better who can come in and take my spot," the 38-year-old said. "I'm grateful for all the opportunities I've gotten in pro ball." Boyce is batting .261 with 507 career base hits, including 83 doubles, 39 triples and 8 home runs with 255 RBIs and 221 runs scored. He has played in 526 games, stolen 79 bases and compiled a .308 OBP. |
