Peralta Silences Vega Baja, 4-0 Thursday, May 11th , 1905 The Vega Baja Caneros struggled at the plate against Galanes hurler José Peralta, who shackled them on 6 hits while hurling a complete-game 4-0 shutout. "What can you say? We didn't hit well," said Caneros skipper Juan Covarrubias in postgame comments. "Hopefully we shake this off and bounce back tomorrow." Peralta finished the game with 5 strikeouts and 4 walks in an excellent mound performance. "He pitched real well," Ciales manager Gilberto Tamayo said. "José made pitches when he had to. He hit his spots and did a great job of mixing in his changeup and using his fastball effectively." Up to now Peralta has compiled an ERA of 2.57 with a 6-6 mark over 10 starts.
