Allen Stops Manati Monday, May 8th , 1905 Alfie Allen had an impressive outing at Parque de Guánica, hurling the Guanica Amigos to a 2-0 shutout victory over the Manati Acropolitanos. "He threw strikes and he was always around the plate," Manati skipper Jake Seymour said. "The ball was doing everything he wanted it to do. We hit some balls hard, but they were all right at the fielders." On the day, the right-handed Allen yielded 3 hits and tallied 2 strikeouts with 1 walk.
