Rivière Shuts Out Maricao Saturday, May 6th , 1905 Vega Baja Caneros hurler Jean Rivière was at his best as he beat the Maricao Cafeteros, 1-0. "He just kept the ball down, did a good job, made his pitches," said Maricao manager Cristón Ibarra. "We didn't do a good job making adjustments, so we helped him out a little bit." Rivière, who is tied for 4th in the LB in quality starts with 7, fired a 6-hitter and totaled 5 strikeouts and 1 walk in the shutout performance.
