Culebra Tortugas Guaranteed Top Spot in Liga Hostos Archipiélago Friday, October 9th , 1903 A season's worth of hard work has culminated in a division championship for the Culebra Tortugas. The club officially clinched its spot atop the Liga Hostos Archipiélago today, with plenty of games to spare. "It feels good to get it wrapped up early and now be able to set ourselves up for the playoffs," said center fielder Vidal Martínez. The club currently has a 89-67 record and this is their 2nd division championship. "We want to bring the 1st Campeonato Nacional Puertorriqueño to Culebra," said Ismael Guzmán. "We think we've got what it takes to be the best in Liga Nacional Puertorriquena." |
