Milagrosos Flame Out Against Monge, Ilustres Thursday, October 8th , 1903 Jesús Monge had an impressive outing at Estadio de los Ilustres, hurling the Barranquitas Ilustres to a 4-0 shutout victory over the Humacao Milagrosos. "He threw strikes and he was always around the plate," Humacao skipper Enrique Pérez said. "The ball was doing everything he wanted it to do. We hit some balls hard, but they were all right at the fielders." On the day, the right-handed Monge yielded 2 hits and tallied 5 strikeouts with no walks.
