Barajas Shuts Out Villalba, 8-0 Tuesday, October 6th , 1903 In a remarkable performance, Humacao Milagrosos starter Luis Barajas beat the Villalba Mercaderes, 8-0, in an impressive 1-hit shutout. "My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this." The Milagrosos hurler finished with 2 strikeouts and 1 walk. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball. "It was a rough one for my guys," Villalba manager José López said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was." So far this season, Barajas has logged a 16-12 record with a 1.84 ERA. He has started 29 games, hurled 259.1 innings and registered 87 strikeouts and 48 walks.
