Herrera Hurls Manati to Shutout Victory Friday, September 25th , 1903 In an outstanding mound performance, Manati Acropolitanos starter Cástor Herrera fired a complete-game shutout against the Fajardo Insolentes at Parque de los Acropolitanos. Herrera was the key to the 1-0 Manati win. The 26-year-old right-hander was in high spirits for much of the game, his mood largely unfazed by the 1 hit and 3 walks he allowed. "1 hit?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter, as long as it was a shutout." This year, Herrera has a 25-9 record with a 2.15 ERA.
