Cárdenas Stymies Pescadores Friday, September 25th , 1903 In a seemingly effortless performance, Pedro Cárdenas of the Canovanas Chupacabras shot down the Salinas Pescadores, 3-0, on 5 hits. "Pedro was just locating so well and using his pitches," Canovanas manager Alejandro Estrada said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate." Cárdenas recorded 6 strikeouts and no walks in a strong outing. "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Salinas manager Gabriel Ramos said in postgame comments to BNN.
