González Belts Bunch of Base Hits Friday, September 18th , 1903 There are moments in a player's career that they will not soon forget. Semónides González of the Naranjito Brillantes had one such moment at Jardines de los Pepinos, when he went 5 for 5 at the plate. His hitting heroics weren't enough to pull out the victory, however, and Naranjito succumbed to defeat, 8-7, to the San Sebastian Pepinos. "This was quite a day for me individually, but a little disheartening at the same time," the 29-year-old left fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "It would have been very special if we had won the game." Semónides González singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, tripled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and tripled in the 8th.
