González Razor-Sharp, Shuts Out Vega Baja Thursday, September 17th , 1903 Aimar González subdued the Vega Baja Caneros, 5-0, pitching a 2-hit gem for the Rio Grande Cotorras at Parque de los Cañeros. "He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Rio Grande skipper Remigio Rodríguez said. González registered no strikeouts and issued 1 walk in his superb performance. "We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Vega Baja manager Roberto Rojo after the defeat. This year, González has posted a 10-10 mark in 20 starts and has a 2.05 ERA.
