Title Captured - Liga Hostos Cordillera Este Won by Corozal Thursday, September 17th , 1903 Those expecting a dogfight in the Liga Hostos Cordillera Este this year got quite the opposite - an early, easy division crown for the Corozal Mofongueros. "When you look at how far we are ahead, it might look like it was an easy year, but it didn't feel that way for us," said starting pitcher Leonel Alvarrán. "A lot of blood, sweat and tears went into putting us here." With a current record of 93-44, the Mofongueros can no longer be caught, cinching up a 2nd division title for the franchise. Team manager Dylan Cummings said the club will "take some time to celebrate" the division title, but then "it's right back to work." |
