Florida Shuts Out Trujillo Alto Behind Castro, 1-0 Tuesday, September 15th , 1903 Luis Castro was impressive at Campo de los Macabeos in the 1-0 Florida Mogotes victory over the Trujillo Alto Macabeos. The Florida pitcher mystified the Macabeos in a strong performance, giving up 3 hits and totaling 3 walks and 4 strikeouts. "Luis had them chasing a lot of pitches and talking to themselves," Florida manager Roberto Merlo. "It was something special to watch." So far this year, Castro has made 34 starts, tossed 323.2 innings, struck out 182 batters and walked 94.
