Barceloneta Shut Out by Treitz Monday, September 14th , 1903 Edmond Treitz of the Trujillo Alto Macabeos was masterful, pitching a 5-hit shutout, 2-0, against the Barceloneta Marineros. By going the distance, he was at the same time able to give his bullpen a rest, a fact appreciated by Trujillo Alto manager Felipe Soto. "It's nice to have someone who can do that from time to time," he said. "He had command of every ball and every pitch. Great location, too." Treitz had 2 strikeouts and 3 walks in the outing.
