Ejemplares Take Down Romeros, 4-3

Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Dorado Ejemplares and Hormigueros Romeros.
The Dorado Ejemplares racked up a win at Parque de los Ejemplares, bumping off the Hormigueros Romeros, 4-3, in 10 innings. Aldomiro Castillo, who started for Dorado, pitched effectively for his team. The Romeros drop to 12-16 and continue their inconsistent start to the 1906 season.
In the bottom of the tenth, Simón Hernández had a chance to deal the knockout blow. And he did, punching a run-scoring sacrifice fly to left-center off Hormigueros pitcher Ricardo Elías.
"It took some doing, but we got what we came for," said Ejemplares manager Arthur Irwin.
