Dons Lose, 3-1
|
The Moncton Magnets picked up a win at Dons Field, courtesy of Santiago Sánchez. The right-hander helped his team stop the Quebec City Dons, 3-1. Sánchez went the distance for Moncton. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. Moncton now has a record of 6-8.
Moncton used a well-timed hit by Gabino Saldívar to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Magnets ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.
"We'll just keep our nose to the grindstone," Sánchez told the Moncton Observer.
