The Lachute Supercalandres cut down the Laval Insulaires by the score of 7-6, with the largest share of the credit going to first baseman Ignacio Palomares. Palomares went 2-3 with 2 doubles and a walk for the Supercalandres. Eduardo Ayala was the winner. He's now 2-1. The loser was Fernando Aguilar. The Supercalandres, now 9-3, have been on fire in the early going.

François Girard helped out the Lachute cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a run-scoring triple. For the game, the center fielder went 1-4 with a triple.

"Enjoyed this one," Girard told the Lachute Daily News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
