Edinburgh Claymores starter Nicolás Sánchez was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Aberdeen Granite, 4-2. Sánchez yielded 2 runs over 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 9 hits, walked 1, and struck out 2. His record improves to 2-0.

An inflection point occurred with two out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Claymores right fielder David Craig hit a slider from Nicolás del Toro for a 2-run single. Just like that, Edinburgh was up, 3-2.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Aberdeen skipper Fraser Sinclair, "and it cost us."

The second-place Claymores now have a record of 64-55.
