Nuño Díaz was instrumental in his team's 10-8, extra-inning triumph over the Sheffield Talons. The first baseman went 3-5 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 3 for the Derby Rams. Carlos Velázquez earned the save for Derby, his 1st. The win makes Derby 44-68.

Derby used the timely hitting of Julián Rodríguez to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Rams on top, 9-8. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Díaz told the Derby Herald. "It's as simple as that."
