Conditions were not ideal but Dublin and Belfast were able to put their game in the books.

Dublin used a superb performance from starting pitcher Emanuel Gutiérrez to down the Belfast Bards, 5-1. Dublin, at 51-59, holds down 4th place in the Baseball Federation of Scotland & Ireland Sraith Daorchluiche na hEireann.

Gutiérrez threw well for Dublin, thwarting the Belfast offense. The right-hander tossed 105 pitches over 9 innings. He allowed just 1 run on 2 hits.

"Emanuel is pitching with a lot of determination and a lot of fire," said Dublin manager Derek Shanks.
