The home crowd had a good time watching the London Fog and Sheffield Talons get after it.

The Sheffield Talons defeated the London Fog, 10-6. Left Fielder Getulio Mejía deserved a large share of the credit. Mejía was 3 for 5 with a triple and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs for the Talons. Sheffield reliever Delmar León picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Lester Gill was saddled with the loss.

Had Damien Petty not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Petty hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 7-6, in favor of the Talons.

"We got the victory," said Mejía. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."

Sheffield is now 54-66.
