Álvaro López, who is tied for 10th in the BFE&W in wins with 11, propelled his team to victory over the Coventry Motors. The final score was 4-2, Sheffield. López, now 11-9, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 1, walking 3, and allowing 2 runs.
Shaun Green had a direct impact on the outcome. Green contributed a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the fifth inning to put Sheffield up, 2-1.
