Thistles Defeat Caber Tossers, 6-4

The rain came, as predicted, but the Inverness Thistles and Perth Caber Tossers were able to complete their ballgame.
The Inverness Thistles picked up a win at Inverness Fields, knocking off the Perth Caber Tossers, 6-4. Starting pitcher Matthew McKenzie played a key role in the triumph. The winning pitcher was McKenzie, now 10-5. He tossed 9 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 2.
Ross Knox had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for the Thistles. Coming up with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Inverness trailing 4-3, he hit a 2-run single.
"I like seeing our guys get a return on what they've put in," said Inverness manager Alfonso Flores.
The Thistles improved their record to 38-25 with the win over Perth.
