Rams Top Barons, 3-2, Behind Lucas

Despite the rain, the fans at Derby Stadium enjoyed a good ballgame.
The Derby Rams did just enough to sneak past the Winchester Barons, 3-2, at Derby Stadium. Derby pitcher Keith Lucas, in particular, had a standout performance. At 20-38, the Rams are currently 5th in the Baseball Federation of England & Wales English Baseball Championship.
Keith Lucas was masterful. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 4 hits over 9 innings.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Derby manager Nicolás Chávez said.
