Fans watched the Salinas Pescadores and the Naguabo Navegadores fight to the finish.

Naguabo designated hitter Declan Milne had a good game, even if his team did not. The Navegadores dropped a 6-5 decision to Salinas at Coliseo Carlos Chávez. Milne went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. At 83-55, the Pescadores find themselves in second place in the Liga Betances Metro Sur.

In the bottom of the seventh, Salinas left fielder Jon Pierce whacked a fastball to right-center for a 2-run double. His 21st double of the season put the Pescadores in front, 6-4.

Pierce told reporters after the game: "Close wins always feel extra good."
