Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Ciales Galanes got the win.
The Ciales Galanes knocked off the Moca Rebeldes, 4-2, in Liga Betances action at Parque de los Galanes. Ciales pitcher and San Juan, Puerto Rico, native José Peralta had an outstanding performance. Peralta, now 17-18, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 4, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs.
The Galanes got a big at-bat from left fielder Gervasio Bernal. For the game, Bernal was 3-4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 3 runs. In the bottom of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 22nd double of the season gave Ciales a 3-2 lead.
"It's so much easier when you throw good pitches," said Peralta.
