Thistles Suffer One-Run Loss at Edinburgh
The Edinburgh Claymores picked up a win at Claymores Stadium, topping the Inverness Thistles, 5-4. On the mound for Edinburgh was left-hander Báquides Sánchez. He played a principal role in the triumph. The win for the Claymores raised their record to 45-36.

Cristóbal Ruiz dealt the Thistles a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with runners on 1st and 3rd and Edinburgh leading 3-0, Ruiz, who leads the BFS&I in home runs with 16, hit a 1-2 slider for a run-scoring single.

"This was a good win," said Ruiz.
