Edinburgh and Inverness took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.

The Inverness Thistles could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Matthew McKenzie into a win. Instead, the Edinburgh Claymores prevailed, 6-4. McKenzie threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball. Ryan Rae snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit over 4 innings. He's now 1-3 on the season.

Edinburgh used a timely hit from 32-year old second baseman Lee Dunn to get the win. The shortstop delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the Claymores on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was huge.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Dunn said after the game.

Edinburgh is now 19-18, while Inverness is 23-15.
