Herrera Now 2-1 Following 4-1 Win
|
Despite the rain, the fans at Parque de los Brillantes enjoyed a good ballgame.
Starting Pitcher Eunosto Herrera was lights out, as the Naranjito Brillantes beat the Villalba Mercaderes, 4-1. Villalba, at 6-16, is off to a poor start in 1905.
Herrera was in the zone all game. He frustrated Villalba hitters while giving the Brillantes 9 innings of quality work. Herrera threw 113 pitches, allowing 4 hits and getting 7 punchouts.
"Eunosto was in charge the entire game," said Naranjito manager Luis Martínez.
