The Anasco Matadioses weathered an outstanding game by San Sebastian first baseman Tom Swyers to topple the Pepinos, 6-5. Swyers went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Anasco is second in the Liga Hostos Oeste with a record of 63-65.

It could have been a different outcome for Anasco, had it not been for Leovigildo Nieto, the 18-year old first baseman . Nieto contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put Anasco up, 6-5.

In postgame comments, Nieto said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
