Winchester beat Sheffield in a rain-soaked ballgame.
The Winchester Barons went home winners at Talons Grounds, thanks in large part to starter Sidney Foley. Foley stifled the Sheffield Talons, enabling Winchester to grab the 3-1 win. Stephen Bell locked down his 2nd save.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Tim Ball? The Winchester second baseman had a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Barons on top, 3-1. For the game, Ball had 1 double and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
