Campo de los Picudos was the site of a tense game between the Aguada Arzobispos and Ceiba Picudos.

In a low-scoring contest, Ceiba pitcher Vicente Rivera was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 3-1 win. The winner was Rivera. He threw 8.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Noé Olvera. Kane O'Leary finished the game for Ceiba and earned his 1st save.

The Picudos got a big hit from right fielder Gaspar Mendoza. Facing Aguada pitcher Noé Olvera in the bottom of the sixth, Mendoza pounded a run-scoring double to right-center. His 1st double of the season put the Picudos ahead, 3-1.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Mendoza.

The Picudos, with just their 5th win in 19 games, have played uninspired baseball so far.
