The Winchester Barons topped the Birmingham Tradesmen, 4-3, in League of the British Isles action at Winchester Fields. The standout performance belonged to Winchester pitcher and Carolina, Puerto Rico, native Aldo Rodríguez. Rodríguez went the distance for Winchester. He gave up 3 runs on 9 hits. In the bottom of the ninth, with one out and the game tied, 3-3, pinch hitter Sam Jolly won it for Winchester. With a runner on 3rd, Jolly hit a 1-0 curveball from Clyde McDermott for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 4-3 win.

"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Jolly said in his postgame press conference.
