Claymores Rally For 11-4 Win
At Shipwrights Stadium, the Glasgow Shipwrights and Edinburgh Claymores were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Edinburgh Claymores locked up a win at Shipwrights Stadium, knocking off the Glasgow Shipwrights, 11-4. On the mound for Edinburgh was right-hander Avelino Oliva. He played a major role in the triumph. Glasgow falls to 1-1.

Edinburgh used a timely hit from Demetrio González to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Claymores ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a difference-maker.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Gael Whalley said.
