Ciro Quintanar pitched a good game, but his team, the Trujillo Alto Macabeos, still succumbed, 3-2, to the Anasco Matadioses in 12 innings. Stuart Boyle earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3.1 innings. He upped his record to 2-1. Trujillo Alto falls to 12-8.

Batting in the bottom of the 12th, 31-year old right fielder Daryl Newman had a real shot to win the game. Trujillo Alto pitcher Ciro Quintanar was determined not to let it happen. But with one out, Newman hit a run-scoring single. The Matadioses had a walk-off triumph.

Newman called the win "a team effort."
