Brillantes Get Zilch in 4-0 Loss to Lecheros, Colgan
The Naranjito Brillantes manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the Bayamon Lecheros. The Brillantes were overpowered by Bayamon starter Garrett Colgan, who hurled his club to victory, 4-0.

"It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," Luis Martínez said.

Over 9 innings, Colgan blanked Naranjito on 3 hits with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts.

"I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Colgan said.

"I set them up, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one."

This year, Colgan has a 14-15 mark in 30 starts with a 2.14 ERA. He has given up 220 hits in 264.2 innings, struck out 87 and issued 42 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .224 batting average against him.
