Guabaleros Earn Win with Late Rally
Conditions were not ideal but Comerio and Patillas were able to put their game in the books.

The Comerio Guabaleros picked up a win at Campo Atlético de San Benito, knocking off the Patillas Cuervos, 5-4. On the mound for Comerio was left-hander Faro Medina. He played a key role in the triumph. Medina yielded 4 runs over 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 15-13.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Orlando González? The 32-year old center fielder González stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put Comerio up, 5-3. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Comerio manager Glauco Fernández. "It's usually not just one thing."

The Guabaleros now have a mark of 62-55.
