The Salinas Pescadores manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the Santa Isabel Corceles. The Pescadores were overpowered by Santa Isabel starter Javier Olivarez, who hurled his club to victory, 4-0.

"It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," Gabriel Ramos said.

Over 9 innings, Olivarez blanked Salinas on 2 hits with no walks and 1 strikeout.

"I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Olivarez said.

"I set them up, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one."

Over the season Olivarez has thrown 251.1 innings and dished out 121 strikeouts with a 14-16 mark and a 2.54 ERA.
