Aguada Nets 4-3 Win Versus Martilleros
|
The Aguada Arzobispos topped the Vega Alta Martilleros, 4-3, in Liga Betances action at Estadio Municipal de Aguada. The standout performance belonged to Aguada pitcher and Canóvanas, Puerto Rico, native Samuel Pabón. Aguada improves to 62-47 with the win. They lead their division by 11 games.
Had Felipe Rivera not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Rivera hit a 2-run single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Arzobispos.
"Both teams played hard," said Aguada manager Evaristo López.
