Humacao Earns 4-3 Win
|
The Humacao Milagrosos sent the home crowd home ecstatic.
The Humacao Milagrosos did just enough to nip the Anasco Matadioses, 4-3, in 10 innings. Humacao pitcher Plácido Polanco, in particular, had a standout performance. The win was credited to Calvagh O'Sullivan in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Tito Morales took the loss.
The Milagrosos got a clutch hit from first baseman Valeriano García. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Milagrosos.
"Plácido went out and did what we needed," said Humacao manager Enrique Pérez.
Humacao has now won 3 straight, while the Matadioses have lost 3 in a row.
