The skies opened up and the rain fell at Estadio Pedro González.
Mateo Ramírez, who is tied for 10th in the LB in complete games with 26, was locked in. The right-hander led the Lares Fieles to a 7-2 win against the Luquillo Soles at Estadio Pedro González. With the win, the Fieles have a record of 55-51.
It could have been a different outcome for Lares, had it not been for Nicolás Delgado, the 27-year old shortstop . Delgado contributed a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put Lares up, 2-0.
"Nice win for us," said Delgado. "Now we'll go after the next one."
