Polanco Pitches Humacao to Shutout Victory
|
Plácido Polanco held the Anasco Matadioses to 1 hit and fashioned a fine 4-0 shutout at Jardines de los Matadioses.
Speaking after the game, Humacao Milagrosos manager Enrique Pérez said "Polanco had everything going for him today. He changed speeds effectively, stayed down, had a lot of movement. He was masterful."
Polanco rung up 3 strikeouts and surrendered 1 walk in the game.
"We couldn't get anything going. He certainly had our number," Anasco manager Polideuco Godínez told reporters.
To date this year, Polanco shows a 19-7 record, 27 starts, 243.1 innings, 102 strikeouts and a 1.66 ERA.
