The Anasco Matadioses picked up a win at Jardines de los Matadioses, dropping the Trujillo Alto Macabeos, 4-3. Fernando López, who is tied for 6th in the LH with a 1.71 ERA, was the difference-maker. The winner was López. He threw 8.0 innings allowing 3 runs. The loser was Eugenio Hernández. The Liga Hostos Oeste-leading Matadioses have a record of 54-46.
In the bottom of the seventh, Anasco shortstop Tadeo Yerena hit a run-scoring single to right field. The clutch hit made it 4-3, Matadioses.
