Galanes Squeeze Out Win in Pitching Duel
|
Ciales starter Jorge Orduño pitched well against the Comerio Guabaleros at Parque de los Galanes. The right-hander led his team to a win, 1-0. The third-place Galanes go to 44-60.
Brian Drover had a timely hit in the bottom of the fifth inning. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, the Ciales catcher hit a run-scoring single. That put the Galanes in front, 1-0.
Orduño said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
