Lobos Stymied by Navegadores, Quinlevan
|
The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements enjoyed themselves.
The Arecibo Lobos had to reckon with Naguabo Navegadores hurler Padraic Quinlevan. Quinlevan, who finished 2nd in the LB in ERA with 1.75 in 1902, overwhelmed the opposition in the 7-0 Navegadores triumph. The Navegadores, at 72-28, have a comfortable 27½-game lead in their division.
Quinlevan yielded no runs on 5 hits over 8.1 innings for the Navegadores. For the season, Quinlevan has a record of 11-5 with 95 strikeouts.
"My job is to go out and execute," said Quinlevan.
