Late Rally Earns Naguabo 7-3 Win
|
The rain did not keep Naguabo and Camuy from finishing their game.
The Naguabo Navegadores topped the Camuy Murcielagos, 7-3, in Liga Betances action at Estadio Víctor Nieves. The game was highlighted by the performance of Naguabo pitcher Ted Balloon. Naguabo is looking good at 70-28.
Benigno Valdez produced at a critical juncture for Naguabo. It happened in the top of the eighth with Carlos Díaz on the mound and Naguabo leading 4-3. That's when the slick-fielding shortstop Valdez reached on an error by the SS, driving in 1 run.
"We didn't play well enough to win," Camuy skipper Mitchell Ayley said.
