Las Marias got a terrific game from right fielder Salomón Reza. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Aguas Buenas, 8-7. Reza went 2 for 3 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Mateo Hernández was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 2 save opportunities. With the win, the Mulos improved to 48-49.

Aguas Buenas used the timely hitting of Pablo Martínez to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Mulos on top, 8-7. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

In postgame comments to the Aguas Buenas Today, Martínez said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
