Casillas, on Top of His Game, Beats Guaynabo, 3-0
|
It wasn't easy but Doroteo Casillas made it look that way.
Casillas silenced the Guaynabo Libertadores, 3-0, in a Lajas Marcianos triumph at Jardines de Guaynabo. Despite the appearance of dominance, Casillas said that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 2 walks and 4 hits.
"It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else."
This year, Casillas has compiled a 15-14 mark with a 1.81 ERA in 24 starts.
