The Manati Acropolitanos picked up a win at Parque de los Acropolitanos, knocking off the Loiza Vejigantes, 4-3. Starting pitcher Aquiles Ledesma was a big reason why. Ledesma, now 2-0, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 10 hits, while striking out 4, walking 5, and allowing 3 runs. Loiza drops to 6-4.

Up to bat in the bottom of the ninth, 20-year old left fielder Jesús Martín had a chance to be the hero. Loiza pitcher Fernando Gaona wanted to foil that plan. But with one out, Martín grounded out, driving in 1 run. The Acropolitanos had themselves a thrilling win.
